Molded - I'm Sold
There are about two dozen caps in my closet, and only one has a structured crown. Those stiff caps major leaguers wear have never been my thing. Before unstructured caps with a relaxed fit became popular I used to take an Exacto knife and painstakingly remove the crown by carefully separating the plastic mesh from the fabric.
I never went to such extremes with my slippers but I’ve never looked twice at a pair that more closely resembled a shoe or featured a clunky shoe-like sole. Slippers should scream comfort and relaxation – not let’s go to the office.
Now there was a big problem with this POV. After a couple of months those cozy, comfortable slippers turned into a floppy mess that could barely stay on my feet. It would get so bad that I'd reach a point where walking done a flight of stairs was highly risky.
I found my utopia in the Baabuk Gus slipper. 100% molded wool. Firm and lightweight - not stiff or heavy. Easy to slip into and out of, and the tough-grip rubber sole means I don't have to worry about them flying off while I'm rumbling down the stairs or moving quickly to keep a toddler from making a mess.
And comfort? Baabuk’s are a dream. All of that wool is well, comfortable and breathable. I don't move around the house without them. Taking them off is the last thing I do when I leave the house in the morning, and putting them back on is the first thing I do when I get home in the evening.
