Toddler Tested. Toddler Approved.
My toddler’s thrown the kitchen sink at his Baabuk’s. The Baabuk’s have won.
I can’t remember the last thing my wife and I bought for our sons that wasn’t extensively researched by reading online reviews or seeking input from other parents via social media. It may be a bit obsessive at times but there’s a point. Kids require a lot of stuff, and most of it isn’t cheap.
We learned the hard way early on that shrugging off poorly made or constructed products ('you get what you pay for’) is a road to nowhere. Where kids are considered quality matters. Immensely. There’s nothing worse than shoes or shirts that fall apart within a month or two. We don’t need the most expensive or exclusive (certainly not guaranteed gauges of quality). We want products that will stand up to anything and everything a toddler can muster. Which is why Baabuk’s are the only slippers we’ll put on our little guys.
Baabuk’s are molded in a single, seamless piece of wool. So no stitches. No stress points that will loosen over time, fray and eventually pull apart. The wool upper is super easy to clean (huge bonus where kids are concerned) and water repellant. And that wool – breathable and sworn enemy of bacteria.
Most of the other slippers we’ve purchased for my son have had a sole ranging from smooth calfskin to regular old fabric with some sort applied rubber grip like dots or a word. Neither is ideal for a toddler capable of zipping across hardwood floors like a gazelle. Especially after a few weeks when subpar quality tends to rear its ugly head. The nubby rubber Baabuk sole provides that perfect level of grip without a shoe-like hard rubber sole.
The other aspect we love about the Baabuk’s is the molded shoe itself. Fabric and un-molded wool uppers both do the same thing given enough time – they collapse and get really loose. Not good for your feet and not good for active kids.
Don’t waste your time searching for the perfect slipper for your kids – you’ve already found it. Check out the full line of Baabuk slippers for kids here.
